The Hardy Boyz
*In 1988 the boys, who were not big wrestling fans at the time, correctly predicted the Macho Man Randy Savage would win Wrestlemania IV. They began to watch wrestling reguarly, and soon became big WWF fans.

*Jeff and Matt received and trampoline for Christmas that year. They cut up chairs to make the posts, and used garden hose and cables to make ropes. Soon, they began to hold wrestling matches dressed in baseball pants and ski maskes. At only 14 and 11, the brothers saved their money and rented video cameras to film their PPV-like (the even had cardboard belts) performances, making around 50 videos.

*The Hardyz met up with Kenneth Morgan, Who made them a 20x20 ring with a trampoline in the middle. They began to get invitations to perform at local county fairs.
*During one of these shows, Matt and Jeff met and Indy wrestler who invited them to an Italion Stallion show. After several months with no word back from the Stallion, Matt got a call asking if he wanted to work for the WWF as a jobber. Jeff was soon added to the roster as well.

*Despite the fact that neither of the boys had much experience in a hard ring (only five matches), the boys, now 19 and 16, joined up eagerly.

*Matt's sixth match in a hard ring was against Nikolai Volkoff at a live Raw show. Jeff's was against Razor Ramone.

*Every few months, the Hardyz would go back to the WWFunder the Italion Stallion, but that didn't work very well for them, because he took 66% of the money that they made.

*After about a year Matt and Jeff, who had begun to call them selves the Hardy Boyz, started getting intrest from the WWF. They Spoke about wanting to use them in the future.

*By May of 1998, they got offers to being put under contract.

*By May of 1998, they had signed. Keep in mind, Matt and Jeff are only 23 and 20 at the time.

*Being singed with the WWF did not make everything just fine for the boys. Because of their youth, they were often the target of insults and practical jokes. At one point all of their gear, from wrestling attire to credit cards vanished; it was later found in the dumpster. Yet, Matt and Jeff continued to work their butts off, and they began to move forward in the business.

*It wasn't until May of 1999 that the Boys really came into their own. They took on Michael Hates as manager, and with him, came a darker, edgier persona. Matt and Jeff started filling the skeleton of the Hardy Boyz.

*On June 29th, 1999, during a live Raw taping in Fayettville, North Carolina, the Hardy Boyz beat the Acolytes t win the tag-team championship. Being 24 and 21, they were the youngest wrestlers ever to hold the belts.

*On july 25th, 1999, the Hardy Boyz loss their belts in a No Disqualification match with Hates against the Acolytes. During their short reign, however, they proved they were a force to be reckoned with.

*During August of 1999, Matt and Jeff
